Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame 2019 Induction Ceremony

The City of Natchitoches was buzzing with excitment as we welcomed Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame's 2019 Inductees for the annual induction weekend. The Celebration kicked off Thursday, June 6 with a press conference and reception. The three-day festivities included two receptions, a youth sports clinic, a bowling party, andthe first ever FREE Rockin’ River Fest! It was a tremendous party on Cane River with local bands, food and fun! The festival was a family-friendly event featuring the New Orleans Saints & Pelicans area for the kids, Louisiana cuisine at one of the many local food & beverage vendors, a concert featuring Grammy winner Wayne Toups and fireworks under the stars capped the party night!

The LSHOF Class of 2019 included; Five-time NFL Most Valuable Player Peyton Manning and former LSU football coach Les Miles, who won 77 percent of his games and a national championship in 11 seasons with the Tigers,  five-time USA Olympic volleyball standout Danielle Scott.  championship coaches Roger Cador (Southern University baseball) and Charles Smith (Alexandria-Peabody Magnet high school basketball), Louisiana Tech quarterback and Canadian Football League Hall of Fame member Matt Dunigan, along with LSU football great Max Fugler, an All-American on the Tigers’ 1958 national championship team, and T. B. “T. Berry” Porter , a member of the Rodeo Hall of Fame.
